Is your team comp being used effectively?
Your team doesn't have to settle for just surviving, just getting by. You can thrive!
You're playing a game. It's the game of life, and you can't win the game of life if your team doesn't know how to play.
I'm Matt Sherman, and I teach people how to get what they want out of life by helping them understand their personality type and develop their self-awareness. I offer group training sessions that use games and exercises to help you get the most out of your team, yourself, and your relationships with other people in your life.
How are Geek Psychology trainings different from courses?
My courses are structured, comprehensive, and step-by-step guides on a specific topic.
The first thing I do is help you identify your personality type based on the Jungian cognitive functions (and the Myers-Briggs personality types). Then, I use that information to recommend specific strategies for how to best use the strengths and overcome the weaknesses of your group.
My trainings are taught in a much more informal and conversational style, as opposed to the traditional style of teaching, which is more like a lecture. My trainings are more like having an open conversation with me about your personality type and how you can use it to improve the dynamics of your group.
The reason for this is because I want to make it as easy as possible for you to get started on your journey towards self-improvement. I want my students and clients to feel like they can ask questions whenever they want—and I mean ANY question. Collaboration and sharing insights is how we learn best!
In terms of delivery, here’s what you can expect:
1. Overview of basics
You will learn about the eight geek psychology character archetypes and how to identify which one you are.
2. Breakout sessions
You'll practice identifying your type and learn how to harness the power of your personality type through character creation.
3. Dive into the eight character archetypes
You'll explore each of the eight RPG model character classes in depth, including what they're good at, where they struggle, and how to leverage their strengths and overcome their challenges.
4. Team building exercises
You'll participate in team-building activities that will help you have shared language for each other's strengths and weaknesses so you can improve problem-solving. This also helps members develop leadership skills and emotional intelligence for working with others on a project or team environment.
If the group environment is conducive to it, we'll do some light roleplaying as a group with the characters you've made so you can get a unique perspective on your strengths and weaknesses and how they function within a group.
If you're curious about how you can get your team to thrive, then this is a must-attend session. You'll leave with a new way of thinking about how people work together and the impact it has on your organization’s performance and an understanding of how to identify and leverage your team's strengths in order to accelerate progress.
I'd love to work with you and your team on a customized experience designed to help you get results quickly!
